Q: Why do I need internet connection?
A: Cowboy Talk uses cloud-based AI services (OpenAI) to convert your speech to text and generate structured reports. An internet connection is required for this processing.
Q: Is my voice data stored anywhere?
A: No! Your audio recordings are processed temporarily and then immediately deleted from your device. We don't store any personal data. See our Privacy Policy for details.
Q: What types of reports can I create?
A: Cowboy Talk automatically categorizes your reports into: Safety incidents, Quality issues, Equipment problems, RFI (Requests for Information), and General observations.
Q: How long can my voice recordings be?
A: You can record up to 5 minutes per voice note. For best results, keep recordings under 2 minutes.
Q: Can I use the app offline?
A: No, Cowboy Talk requires an internet connection to process voice recordings and generate reports.
Q: How accurate is the voice transcription?
A: We use OpenAI's Whisper technology, which provides industry-leading accuracy. Speak clearly and minimize background noise for best results.
Q: Can I edit the generated reports?
A: Currently, reports are generated automatically. You can copy the text and edit it in other apps, or include additional details when sharing via email.
Q: Does the app cost anything to use?
A: Cowboy Talk is free to download and use. There are no subscription fees or in-app purchases.
